Once you have decided that I am the right photographer for you (little happy dance) then I will email you a booking fee invoice of 30% of your wedding photography collection which is paid electronically online. This booking fee secures your wedding date with me, no other booking will be taken on that date and is therefore is non-refundable. I will also send you a contract for you to complete which will explain all of my T&C’s in more detail. Feel free to ask me any questions regard these!
Can we meet up after we have booked you?
Yes, of course! I always love to meet my couples before their wedding day. If you are local to Dorset then I am more than happy to meet up for a drink or coastal walk, its a great way to discuss through any initial questions, the details of your day and get to know one another. Your wedding photography is such an important decision to make and getting on with your photographer is key! If you would like to speak before booking me then I am more than happy to chat on the phone or Skype. How do we receive our photographs?
Every collections includes all the final images for no extra price. They will be delivered to you via a private online gallery. You also have personal printing and sharing rights, so you, your family and friends can view, share and print your photographs as you wish. Your photographs will be delivered as JPEG’s. You can also purchase a beautiful presentation box with a selection of prints and all of your wedding photographs on a USB.
Can we order prints from you?
Integrated within your private online gallery is a shop which contains a variety of hand chosen professional printed products that you can simply choose from and order online. Family and friends who you may choose to share your gallery with can also purchase from this online shop. You can also add additional extras such as mounted prints and albums to your wedding photography collections via email.
How many photographs will we receive?
The more there is to photograph, the more photographs you will receive, but generally, for half a day of photography you’ll receive 400+ and for a full day, 800+ but often it will be a lot more!
Do you edit the photographs?
Yes, I do. I will choose the best captures from your day and edit in my signature beautiful, fresh and timeless style. You will receive your photographs 6-8 weeks after your wedding, if not earlier!
How long do you photograph for on the Wedding Day?
If booking a Full Day Package, my coverage is up to 10 hours. Its important to me that I tell the true story of your day, so this means nothing gets missed out! In the morning I usually arrive 2 hours before the ceremony time, to capture the preparations and then will stay till after the first dance to get those all important dance moves!
We always feel awkward in front of the camera, is this a problem?
Of course not! Many people feel uneasy when faced with a camera, but because I prefer to get those natural smiles and expressions more than anything else, you won’t notice I am there a lot of the time. And when it comes to group or couple photographs, I will give you subtle direction and prompts to allow you to relax, focus on one another and have fun with each other!
What happens if you are unwell on our Wedding Day?
Though the chances of me not being able to attend your wedding day are very slim, if this was to happen then I would ensure that a fellow professional photographer, who I know and trust, steps in for me to document your day. I will then still edit and deliver your wedding photography.
What happens if your equipment malfunctions on the day?
I always have backup equipment with me, just in case this happens. I shoot with two camera bodies and bring a back up camera to each job along with a selection of professional lenses… as well as spare batteries, extra memory cards, camera straps, tissues, snacks… and anything else that I need.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, I do. I love to travel and would be delighted to document your wedding both in the UK and abroad. However, travel and accommodation if needed would be an additional cost on top of your chosen collection. Included within each wedding collection is 100 miles of travel – 50 miles there and back. If your wedding is more than 50 miles away from my hometown Poole, Dorset; then there is a 45p charge per additional mile.
Are you insured?
Yes, I am. I have public liability insurance, and all of my equipment is insured too.
Do you work alone or as part of a team?
Both! It will always be me who will turn up on the morning of your wedding day or the evening of your engagement shoot; unless an associate photographer has already been arranged; usually due to a postponement resulting in a clash of dates, or an unforeseen circumstance. However, you can also book a second photographer who will work alongside me. I love working with other wedding suppliers and I have a wonderful team of fellow photographers who I hire as second shooters and associate photographers when needed, along with videographers who I can recommend to you.
