A favourite wedding venue of mine is the Larmer Tree Gardens situated on the Dorset/Wiltshire border. With its extensive grounds, beautifully manicured gardens, lush-green lawns, super quirky buildings with gorgeous interiors and striking peacocks roaming free; it’s a venue like no other!
Larmer Tree is tailored perfectly for a relaxed outdoor wedding, full of fun, games and creativity. This botanical wedding venue comes with 11 acres of land with many hidden walkways to wander through and areas for your guests to explore. There is always a quiet private space to relax; perfect for your bride and groom portraits or just some time away together amidst the busy buzz of your wedding day.
You can choose between a variety of ornate buildings and backdrops for your romantic wedding ceremony with both inside and outside options; The Roman Temple, Lower Indian Room and the Jubilee Hall.
The garden has a ‘Singing Theatre’ stage with a mural painted backdrop which is not only perfect for live music performances during your drinks reception, but it also doubles up as a unique location for group family photographs and Bride and Groom portraits. Along with live music you and your guests can enjoy a selection fun garden games such as giant Jenga, Croquet, Rounders, Space Hoppers, and Boules, something to suit everyone!
As a wedding photographer, Larmer Tree gardens provides such a wonderful choice of unique locations for photographs, all right next to each other. One of my favourite areas is the Roman Temple, a beautiful centrepiece for your couple and group photos with its domed roof and rustic and decorative character.
Wedding Breakfasts are held in the elegant Pavilion which can comfortably hold 150 guests. This light, clean space provides a versatile setting for your choice of wedding styling complete with a grand piano, drapes and stylish chandeliers.
Next door to the Pavilion is the Jubilee Hall, decked out in fairy lights ready for the evening party! You can dance the night away or unwind in a candle lit garden with a firepit and smores!
