A Summer Wedding at The Italian Villa in Compton Acres
Kayla & Stephen chose the unique Italian Villa at Compton Acres in Poole to celebrate their summer wedding day. Being a Dorset Wedding Photographer, the Italian Villa is one of my favourite local wedding venues to photograph at, so I was really looking forward to returning.
Every detail within the wedding day reflected a timeless and modern feel. The colour theme was white, gold and navy with silk champagne bridesmaid dresses, navy blue groomsmen suits, pearls, satin bows and fresh white and green florals.
During bridal prep I photographed Kayla getting ready with her bridesmaids at The Nici Hotel in Bournemouth. My second photographer then photographed Stephen and his Groomsmen getting ready at their home in Poole. Stephen arrived in style on his white moped followed by Kayla with her Dad in a stunning silver classic car.
After a emotional ceremony (lots of laughter and tears!) on the Italian Villa Steps, everyone enjoyed an al fresco drinks reception in the villas beautiful formal garden followed by confetti before some family group photos.
The wedding breakfast was held inside the Italian Villa which was decorated in a classic white and gold wedding theme. White draped fabric and simple green foliage decorated the chairs with neutral and green flower arrangements for the table centrepieces. There were champagne candles, gold foiled table numbers, gold table wear and a beautiful flower arch behind the top table. Everything co-ordinated seamlessly.
The speeches were some of the most heartfelt speeches I have ever heard, with an open invitation for others to come up and say some words too! After the wedding breakfast whilst the guests were relaxing I took Kayla & Stephen out for some stunning golden hour couple photos around the Italian Villa gardens. This is a great way for them to just spend some time together away from their guests, reflect on the day so far and enjoy each others company.
The evening party then began with a photo of the Bride and Groom cutting the cake, (which nearly ended up as a cake food fight!) followed by their first dance, photo booth with fun wedding props, lots of tequila and then a night time sparkler photos to end the evening!
